Slidr ran UNA Roar Ride at the University of North Alabama in Florence, Alabama, starting October 1, 2023. The program combined a fixed campus route with on-demand electric rides, using Tesla vehicles.
UNA Roar Ride served the University of North Alabama with a fixed campus route on weekdays from 7 AM to 5 PM and on-demand rides on weekday evenings from 4 PM to 9 PM and on Saturdays from 10 AM to 2 PM. It launched with 3 Tesla vehicles. When first-semester data showed higher demand for flexible rides, Slidr moved from 1 fixed-route vehicle and 2 on demand to 1 fixed-route vehicle and 3 on demand, and ridership doubled in the second semester. Over the academic year, the program served 8,448 total riders. Students request rides and track shuttles through the Slidr app. The program provides reliable campus mobility without requiring CDL-licensed drivers, and all vehicles are 100% electric. Slidr delivers monthly ridership reports to university administration.
